Helping you make strong arguments and influence decisionmakers

At Victor Consulting we believe that a successful engagement programme is multi-faceted. Strong, evidence-based arguments should be the basis for government decisions. These should be presented in compelling reports and briefings, using both direct engagement and media. At all times, understanding the motivations of other stakeholders and attempting to align goals should be a priority.

We also believe whole-heartedly in working for a better future. We only partner with clients who are working to help build a better New Zealand.

To this end, we work with multinationals, New Zealand firms and business associations, as well as NGOs. We work with clients across a variety of industries, with a particular focus on green tech and innovation. We have helped clients achieve important policy wins that are making New Zealand a better place.

We favour a constructive, rather than adversarial approach, and evidence over ideology. Our strong links with decisionmakers enable us to understand how best to get results.

We provide a range of services including:

  • Building the case. Research, analysis, and report writing to help create the evidence-base for the change you are pursuing and communicate it in a form that is influential with politicians and other stakeholders.

  • Formulating and carrying out political media communications strategies - opinion pieces, media stories, and events - to get your issue heard and understood by decisionmakers.

  • Researching policy issues and legislation; writing submissions on legislation and consultations, as well as letters and briefings to Ministers and officials.

  • Designing and implementing government relations strategies that get results - identifying the key players and finding ways to align your needs with the Government's priorities and political imperatives.

  • Helping you form strong relationships decisionmakers and put your best case forward - including meeting politicians and other stakeholders, and working closely with key staff on your behalf.
